Vacuum Cell Technology (VCT) is Fotona's unique and proprietary solution to generate absolute uniform beam profiles for Q-switched lasers. EFC Technology
Energy Feedback Control Technology actively matches the energy level of each individually generated laser pulse with the desired treatment energy settings, avoiding uncontrolled energy fluctuations, and thus ensuring treatment safety and efficacy. Tattoo Removal
Fotona's Q-switched laser systems are designed with effective and efficient tattoo removal in mind. Our Q-switched lasers generated the highest power, nanosecond laser pulses. These pulses create a photo-acoustic effect that breaks up pigment particles in the skin, without affecting surrounding skin structures. These smaller particles can then be absorbed by the body's natural defense systems.
Fotona's QX range is based on highest, single pulse energy generating technology. Only single pulses avoid the formation of an optical shield above the target area during treatments. Successive pulses are thus more efficiently used for reaching deeper-lying pigments. Fotona provides up to four wavelengths for tattoo removal.
Pigmented Lesion Treatments
Fotona's complementary range of laser wavelengths and operating modes are ideally suited to the effective treatment of a wide range of benign pigmented lesions in patients of all skin types.
The Er:YAG laser treats benign pigmented lesions through very precise, micron layer-by-layer ablation - effectively surgically removing the lesions.
The Nd:YAG and KTP Nd:YAG lasers treat a range of superficial pigmented lesions with targeted laser absorption in pigmented soft tissue.
FRAC3®
FRAC3® is Fotona's unique rejuvenation and anti-aging treatment modality. It is a non-ablative modality that creates a three-dimensional pattern of thermally micro-damage zones. The micro-damage zones are exactly created there where age-related skin irregularities are located. FRAC3® consists of a 3D, self-induced fractional effect that is only achievable with Accelera mode pulses.
Skin Toning, Tightening and Texture Improvements (T3)
Fotona's T3 treatment utilizes the unique properties of the VSP-shaped Nd:YAG laser to tone, tighten and improve the texture of the skin.
T3 treatments use the selective absorption of the Nd:YAG laser wavelength, depositing controlled heat into the dermis having passed harmlessly through the uppermost layer of skin. This thermal effect induces collagen remodeling and new collagen formation, producing the toning, tightening and texture improvements.
Laser Hair Removal
The deep penetration of Fotona's Nd:YAG laser ensures it reaches even the deepest follicles, while its low absorption in all skin types makes sure the surrounding tissue is preserved. This guarantees safe, fast and effective hair removal, even in the darkest skin types, without the epidermal damage other light-based treatments inherently cause.
Vascular Lesion & Unsightly Vein Treatments
Fotona's Nd:YAG laser is well-suited to treat a whole range of unsightly veins and vascular lesions in all skin types. Its strong absorption in hemoglobin balanced against deep penetration allows even the deepest and largest unsightly veins to be treated. High versatility in parameter selection ensures maximum treatment efficiency and speed and the minimum of patient discomfort.
Acute Acne Treatments
Fotona Nd:YAG laser's homogeneous absorption and deep penetration is perfectly suited to preventing and reducing active acne inflammation. It eradicates the bacteria causing the inflammation and also promotes collagen regeneration to improve the tone and texture of the skin.
