New Features and Accessories Released by Fotona in Dental Laser System Range

Continuous science-based innovations have furthered the treatment scope of Er:YAG and Nd:YAG lasers - gold standards in laser dentistry. Fotona’s AT/HT Fidelis dental laser systems range offers both sources.

Fotona has now launched new Er:YAG compatible Flexible fiber tips to extend the laser source's application range. Varying in length and width, they further expand Fotona's extensive range of application-oriented tips that are specifically designed to optimize various dental treatments. The Flexible tips allow Er:YAG to be effectively applied in root canal therapy, allowing the dentist to reach deep into the root canal and deliver laser energy precisely where needed. The smear layer in the root canal can be removed and distribution of fluids into the lateral dental tubuli is aided, leading to more uniform, homogeneous and deeper irrigation. AT Fidelis laser systems allow this procedure to combined with Nd:YAG root canal disinfection; the only such solution on the market. The Flexible tips are also applicable in periodontic procedures where combined with the Er:YAG-compatible tips and the Nd:YAG laser, a complete treatment of the sulcus can be provided.

Fotona has also expanded the AT Fidelis Nd:YAG's pulsewidth range to 650 µsec, to provide excellent coagulation effects for bloodless surgical and periodontic procedures. With this Fotona's AT/HT Fidelis dental laser systems family offers the widest range of treatment parameters in the industry.
