Electro-optical defense applications

As one of the early innovators of laser technology, the first products offered by Fotona to the defense market date back some 35 years. The scope of our defense business today can be seen in the following groups of products:

Laser Rangefinders

Designed for various purposes and applications, laser rangefinders are present in almost every product or system produced by Fotona, from general purpose to standalone modules.

Laser Warning Systems

Laser irradiation detection and warning systems are the key elements of protection and counter measure against laser-targeted weapons threats. Fotona offers a variety of building blocks for implementing flexible and reliable warning systems.

Fire control systems

Based on LRFs and other sensors, and combined with powerful micro-electronics, these systems from Fotona make fire control very simple and efficient.

All Fotona medical lasers are CE marked and cleared for sale in the EU. For countries where specific national approvals or clearances are required (for example by the FDA in the United States), some of the products and/or applications may not have been cleared yet. Similarly, local patents may limit usage for certain technologies and applications. Please check with Fotona, your local Fotona distributor or your national regulatory body to find out whether a specific product or application is available for sale and use in your country.
