The SP Dynamis is the only system capable of providing a complete spectrum of inside-to-out anti-aging treatments. In a single, uniquely capable system, Fotona has combined the power of the industry's highest performance Er:YAG and Nd:YAG lasers for applications in aesthetics and dermatology, as well as an additional surgical QCW Nd:YAG laser for lipolysis and many other surgical procedures.
"I have been using the SP range for two years with great success. I can perform skin resurfacing with minimal bleeding, good collagen shrinkage and short healing times. Combined with a thermal element I treat sagging skin, deep wrinkles and acne scarring. I use the Nd:YAG laser on spider veins, hemangiomae, and acne. Combining both lasers has proven very successful in treating hypertrophic scarring."

EFC Technology
Energy Feedback Control Technology actively matches the energy level of each individually generated laser pulse with the desired treatment energy settings, avoiding uncontrolled energy fluctuations, and thus ensuring treatment safety and efficacy. EFC technology eliminates the need for frequent manual calibration procedures.
Multiple Surgical Sets
Fotona offers an ever increasing range of compatible, re-useable surgical sets eliminating the need to continuously invest in expensive technologies and upgrades to keep of with the latest trends in aesthetic surgery.
Tissue Effect Indicator
The Tissue Effect Indicator shows the balance between the ablative and the coagulation or heating effect of the selected parameters. This enables you to quickly and easily estimate the nature of treatment and determine the expected outcome. TEI shortens the learning curve and improves ease-of-use and safety.
VSP Technology
VSP Technology provides square-shaped pulses, avoiding the slow rise and longer fall in pulse power common in less advanced laser platforms. With VSP Technology no unnecessary laser energy is delivered to the skin providing the safest and most effective treatments available today. VSP Technology contributes largely to making selected treatment parameters more clinically predictable.
TURBO Technology
TURBO Technology emits a rapid sequence of identical pulses on precisely the same spot. This enhances ablation depth and creates more sharply defined, high-definition micro-channels. TURBO Technology allows you to adopt a true “less is more” strategy by maximizing the effects of even the most conservative Er:YAG treatment settings.
V-Smooth Technology
V-Smooth is a high coagulation, minimal ablation treatment modality, based on a specially-developed scanning speed enhancing solution. During treatments individual spots are irradiated for an optimal time before being retreated at computer-controlled intervals. This optimally delivers laser energy for maximum effects, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Advanced Performance
The SP Dynamis’ technical features, its various laser delivery systems and treatment modalities advanced performance in aesthetic procedures. System features are designed to increase treatment speed and efficiency, to enable parameter optimization to gain the best clinical results and improve patient safety and comfort.
S-11 Scanner
Treating large areas requires a scanner in order to ensure treatment accuracy and patient satisfaction. Fotona’s S-11 scanner provides a world-leading 42 cm² scan area. With an integrated cold air cooling attachment and adjustable handle, treatments are easier and less tiring to administer. Scanner functions, scan sizes and shapes are selected directly on the scanner via a joystick.
Acute Acne Treatments
Fotona Nd:YAG laser's homogeneous absorption and deep penetration is perfectly suited to preventing and reducing active acne inflammation. It eradicates the bacteria causing the inflammation and also promotes collagen regeneration to improve the tone and texture of the skin.
Scar Revision – Hypertrofic & Acne
Fotona Er:YAG's precisely-controlled ablation is ideally suited to the effective treatment of a wide range of scar tissue.
Even the most severe cases of complex acne scarring can be precisely and rapidly treated using Er:YAG skin resurfacing.
The minimally invasive nature, efficiency and speed of these procedures means that they are well-tolerated by patients, while fast recovery times allow the enormous psychological impact of scar reduction to be realized far sooner by the patient.
Laser Peels
With ultimate flexibility and fine parameter control a wide range of laser peels to be undertaken. The nature and strength of effects can be tailored exactly to the patient's needs by easily and precisely controlling ablation and coagulation ratios. Optional Er:YAG scanners* and a variety of larger spotsize handpieces, make treatments faster and more accurate.

Pigmented Lesion Treatments
Fotona's complementary range of laser wavelengths and operating modes are ideally suited to the effective treatment of a wide range of benign pigmented lesions in patients of all skin types.
The Er:YAG laser treats benign pigmented lesions through very precise, micron layer-by-layer ablation - effectively surgically removing the lesions.
The Nd:YAG and KTP Nd:YAG lasers treat a range of superficial pigmented lesions with targeted laser absorption in pigmented soft tissue.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
The Er:YAG laser enables extremely precise, micron layer-by-layer ablation of the epidermis. In addition, with Fotona's VSP technology, the degree of ablation and/or deeper tissue heating can be simply and precisely controlled.
With fine and adjustable spotsizes, the areas surrounding fine lines and wrinkles can be carefully sculpted to reduce the size and impact of imperfections.
Rosacea Treatments
The flexibility, precise control and homogenous absorption of Fotona's Nd:YAG range of lasers are ideally suited to the treatment of all symptoms of rosacea.
They can be used to treat the small, superficial veins while also having the ability to penetrate and treat larger, deeper vascular lesions. This enables the complete treatment of these symptoms by laser.
Verrucae Treatments
Using Fotona's Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths in combination enables treatment of a wide variety of warts and verrucae.
The Er:YAG laser is ideally suited to the very precise ablation of warts, while the Nd:YAG laser's targeted absorption in vascular tissue induces coagulation of the blood vessels feeding the wart, causing its subsequent necrosis.
Both sources' antibacterial effects promote faster healing and lower the possibility of recurrence, acting on the virus that causes verrucae.
FRAC3®
FRAC3® is Fotona's unique rejuvenation and anti-aging treatment modality. It is a non-ablative modality that creates a three-dimensional pattern of thermally micro-damage zones. The micro-damage zones are exactly created there where age-related skin irregularities are located. FRAC3® consists of a 3D, self-induced fractional effect that is only achievable with Accelera mode pulses.
Laser-assisted lipolysis
Fotona QCW Nd:YAG can be considered as a Golden Standard in aesthetic surgery. It's application in laser-assisted lipolysis has been tested and proven to be safe and effective. Its specific advantage compared to other sources is its relative lower absorption in water, through which its treatment efficacy in interstitial treatments using tumescent fluid techniques is not compromised, VSP Technology provides the QCW Nd:YAG the widest range of selectable pulse durations available today, allowing thermal effects to be adjusted to the desired clinical outcome.
Endovenous laser ablation
Fotona's QCW Nd:YAG laser has a particular affinity to be absorbed in hemoglobin which makes it an ideal choice for endovenous laser treatments. Its highest performance characteristics, combined with its selectivity and precision which limit thermals effects to the target tissue, provide minimal patient discomfort, exceptional success rates and shortened recovery times. Less charring at the fiber tip end increases the fiber's lifetime and is associated with reduced procedure risk.
Skin Tightening
Smooth and V-Smooth treatment options set Fotona Er:YAG lasers in a class apart. Their specially developed pulse sequences induce powerful, yet controlled skin coagulation with minimal to no ablation. These effects cause more intense deep collagen remodeling; ideal for patients who want drastic rejuvenation without the risks of ablative treatments.
Vascular Lesion & Unsightly Vein Treatments
Fotona's Nd:YAG laser is well-suited to treat a whole range of unsightly veins and vascular lesions in all skin types. Its strong absorption in hemoglobin balanced against deep penetration allows even the deepest and largest unsightly veins to be treated. High versatility in parameter selection ensures maximum treatment efficiency and speed and the minimum of patient discomfort.

This paper provides an insight into the 4 VSP Er:YAG treatment regimes and the clinical parameters that are necessary for mini peels, medium depth peels and SMOOTH treatments.

A novel self-induced non-ablative threedimensional fractional FRAC3® method for skin rejuvenation.

This paper presents a study in which endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) of saphenous veins with a VSP Nd:YAG laser system (Fotona, Ljubljana, Slovenija) was conducted on 525 legs. The study was held at a single clinical site (Avelana vein clinic) over a 2.5 year period. The first 102 legs underwent EVLA at 15W to 18W average power, supplied from Nd:YAG laser. In the remaining 423 legs EVLA was administered at an average power of 25W. After 1 year, 88.2% of the veins in the 15-18W treatment group remained occluded; in the 25W treatment group 98.5% of the veins remained occluded. Side effects were minimal. All patients, even those whose veins were not fully ablated reported satisfaction with the treatment. The results of the study have lead us to conclude that the 1064 nm, VSP Nd:YAG laser is an effective and safe treatment modality for varicose veins.
