AALZ Dentistry Laser Wavelengths Course
5 May 2008 - 7 May 2008
The Aachen Center for Laser Dentistry (AALZ) runs a 3-day Dentistry Laser Wavelength Course that covers various aspects of the most important laser wavelenghts that are applied in laser dentistry.
The aim of the course is to give an introduction into classical laser therapy by covering the risks, treatment possiblities, indications and techniques of laser assisted-therapy with the Er:YAG (2940 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) lasers. After in-vitro demonstrations on models and in-vivo patient demonstrations or videos, participants will have the opportunity to learn and train their newly acquired dental laser treatment skills through exercises on models using an Er:YAG and Nd:YAG laser system. In addition, a laser dentistry therapy plan will be learned and studied in detail. At the end of the 3-day course, participants will receive an official RWTH Aachen University certificate.
