| Dr. Lundgren demonstrates the PIPS® method Specially designed PIPS® fiber tips and handpieces are available only with Fotona lasers Participants practice PIPS® in-vitro | PIPS® is receiving immense attention from the dental community because, by using Er:YAG laser energy at sub-ablative power levels, it is more effective in cleaning and debriding the root canal system. The procedure is also less invasive, as it preserves more tooth endoskeleton than traditional techniques. The PIPS® course included clinical lectures, lively discussions and live demonstrations so that participants have the proper knowledge and skills to be able to perform the procedure on their patients. The procedure can only be preformed with specially designed Fotona fiber tips. The PIPS® license and fiber tips are included with the following Fotona laser systems: For practitioners who purchased the Fidelis AT or Fidelis HT dental laser, the PIPS® license and fiber tips can be purchased directly from Fotona, while older Fotona Er:YAG laser systems can be upgraded to be able to support the PIPS® treatment method.
