Starting in Vancouver on February 9th, the 7-day LightWalker road show headed eastward with stops in Edmonton and Toronto before a final event in Montreal on February 16th.
The scheduled events consisted of lectures on laser physics and dental applications by leading laser specialists, including Zurich doctor Kresimir Simunovic of the Laser and Health Academy. After the lecture portion of the events, attendees were also invited to participate in hands-on workshops demonstrating various laser procedures for hard/soft-tissue and endo treatments.
Feedback from participants at the workshops was extremely positive, with interest especially high in the topics of conservative treatments using LightWalker’s Er:YAG laser, as well as minimally invasive oral surgery (with simultaneous coagulation) using the LightWalker’s Er:YAG and Nd:YAG lasers. In addition, there was also significant enthusiasm for the patented PIPS® endodontic and TwinLight® periodontal procedures, which enable practitioners to treat a larger percentage of patients in-office that would otherwise be referred to an outside specialist.
