Global Launch of Fotona’s X‑Runner at IDS 2013

Designed for the award-winning LightWalker AT dental laser, the new X‑Runner™ handpiece enables routine hand movements to be fully automated, making it an ideal tool whenever deep, wide or precise cuts are required. With X-Runner, the shape and size of an ablation area can be selected in advance, providing a wide range of hard- and soft-tissue treatments, from standard cavity and veneer preparations to high-precision surgical and implantology procedures.

Dental laser professionals enjoyed the opportunity to test X-Runner firsthand at IDS and were highly impressed with the superior performance and broader scope of treatment possibilities that the new automated handpiece enables. Current Fotona customers attending IDS were also highly pleased that the new X-Runner digital handpiece can be installed with only a simple software upgrade and is compatible with all standard parameters used by Fotona’s classic laser handpieces (energy, frequency, mode, spray). Another key benefit is that X-Runner allows practitioners to switch instantly between the new automated mode and the classical, single-spot handpiece mode without the need to swap handpieces, providing maximum convenience and efficiency.
