Fotona Receives Award for Cutting-Edge Research and Development

The award, announced in the December 2013 edition of the UK-based Practical Patient Care magazine, is a reflection of Fotona’s reputation in the healthcare industry as “a world-leading developer and manufacturer of medical laser systems.”
The award also highlighted Fotona’s “particular expertise in aesthetics and dermatology, dentistry, surgery and gynaecology.” According to the magazine, Fotona’s R&D expertise is underlined by its “patented Variable Square Pulse technology, which minimizes excess laser energy absorption into bodily tissue and therefore improves patient safety ” as well as its “proprietary handpieces, innovative operating modes and advanced beam-profile technologies”.
