Fotona’s booth at this year’s International Dental Show (IDS) was buzzing with activity and enthusiasm as attendees observed the extraordinary benefits of the company’s LightWalker ATS laser system and TwinLight® Peri-implantitis Treatment. According to Dr. Ilay Maden, DMD, PhD, "Using the LightWalker's Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths, it is possible to clean granulation tissues, both on the bone and implant surfaces, and thoroughly decontaminate the infected site.”
Fotona also used the occasion to officially announce its innovative new Genova collimated flat-top Nd:YAG handpiece, designed for applications requiring biomodulation for pain reduction, anti-inflammatory effects and enhanced wound healing. The handpiece was developed in close cooperation with Prof. Benedicenti from the University of Genoa, Italy, and other leading experts in the field of biomodulation.
Dental practitioners at Fotona’s booth also enjoyed the opportunity to test the efficiency of the LightWalker ATS in cutting hard and soft tissues with different models of handpieces, including the new straight contact handpiece introduced for LightWalker for the first time at the fair.
