Fotona Technologies Brought to Light at WCD Vancouver

One of the highlights of this year’s meeting was an evening presentation by Dr. Martin Braun, one of the most accomplished and respected cosmetic rejuvenation physicians in the Vancouver area and a featured guest on many radio and television stations. His discussion focused on a number of Fotona’s unique and revolutionary aesthetic treatments, such as Fotona 4D®, IntimaLase®, TightLase™ and NightLase®.

The company’s laser technology also featured prominently in a well-received lecture on scar treatment by Dr. Ashraf Badawi, titled “Retrospective analysis of non-ablative scar treatment in dark skin types using sub-millisecond Nd:YAG laser,” which noted in particular that:

• Non-invasive treatments with sub-millisecond 1064 nm Nd:YAG improved existing PIH from acne scarring.
• Did not induce additional PIH.
• Did not require pre- and post-treatment agents to control PIH in dark skin patients.
• Did not require anesthetic.

Fotona’s experience at the 23rd World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver proved to be highly successful from start to finish, with a very active booth and an exceptional level of interest in the latest generation Dynamis Pro models.

At the end of the congress the Fotona team embarked on a multi-city roadshow organized by the company’s Canadian distributor, Clarion Medical Technologies, to participate in a series of lectures and workshops across Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal & Toronto).
