US FDA gives SkyPulse® the green light

The US FDA has cleared the SkyPulse® platform and its accessories in the USA for indications in dentistry, dermatology and other surgical areas. SkyPulse® is a modern, compact & portable dental laser that can be tailored for each individual dental practice.

Both SkyPulse® Er:YAG laser platforms (SkyPulse® Endo and SkyPulse® Versa) allow additional high-performance diode module accessories for the broadest range of diode laser wavelengths. A user-friendly but advanced & highly customizable interface is key to the ease of use with SkyPulse®, enabling the rapid selection of preset options.

SkyPulse® wins Red Dot Award for outstanding design

We are also very excited to announce that Fotona is one of the winners in the world’s most renowned design competitions, the Red Dot Awards! The Red Dot Jury has made its decision: Fotona's new generation dental laser system has emerged victorious by winning the 2020 Red Dot Award for Product Design.

Only the best designs receive a Red Dot award. According to Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec, "The winners of the Red Dot Award have proved that they have created excellent products worthy of winning an award. The products won over the jury not only through their aesthetic, but also thanks to their incomparable functionality. With their designs, the award winners are setting new standards in their industry."

On June 22nd, 2020, SkyPulse® will be added to the exhibition "Design on Stage" in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, a hot spot for the best-in-class industrial design. From that date, Fotona’s winning product will also be presented in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website. The Red Dot Design Yearbook 2020/2021 will be released in July 2020.
