What is LichenLase™?
Lichen sclerosus (LS) is a chronic condition that cannot be cured, but it can be managed effectively with the right therapy. Fotona’s LichenLase™ is an Nd:YAG laser treatment with Fotona’s unique PIANO™ pulse mode that efficiently improves symptoms of LS. For patients presenting with white plaques, the treatment can be enhanced with an additional step using Er:YAG laser.
How Does it Work?
- Procedure: As a quick, minimally-invasive outpatient treatment, LichenLase™ requires no downtime. It is generally well tolerated by patients.
- Treatment Plan: Three sessions are typically required, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 6 months.
- Combination Therapy: Laser treatment can be safely and effectively combined with corticosteroid therapy to further enhance effectiveness
