FIND A CLINICThe Fotona® melasma treatment typically requires 4 to 8 sessions.
Patients may experience erythema for 1 to 5 days and small scabs for 2 to 7 days.
Results may vary for each individual based on the specific condition of their melasma.
The Fotona StarWalker® MaQX laser employs Q-switched technology, which selectively targets and fragments pigment particles while preserving the surrounding dermal tissue.
The Fotona® Melasma treatment follows a four-step process.
Step 1
Step one uses a 1064nm QS Nd:YAG laser to disrupt melanosomes, targeting melanocytes and breaking down melanin.
Step 2
Utilizes Nd:YAG short Fotona FRAC3® pulses to modulate inflammation by reducing cytokines and inhibiting VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factors).
Step 3
Step three uses a 1064nm Nd:YAG fractional laser to induce cavitation, remodel skin, and boost collagen for rejuvenation.
Step 4
Step four uses 1064nm Nd:YAG with Fotona FRAC3® or Fotona® VERSA pulses to treat visible vascular lesions after the second session.
