Fotona introduces the XP-2 Focus; the newest laser system in its aesthetic surgery range. Replacing its popular predecessor, the Fotona XP-2, the XP-2 Focus remains a proven and unique solution of aesthetic surgeries, which offers both surgical laser procedures and transdermal aesthetic treatment options in one system.

Fotona, in co-operation with US-based Fotona representative, Aesthetic Lasers Inc, is currently seeking distributors in the United States for its Aesthetics and Dermatology laser systems range.

Fotona recently released two new Pixel Screen Technology (PST) handpieces to enable Fotona Er:YAG laser users to add fractional techniques to skin rejuvenation treatments. The handpieces are compatible with Fotona’s XS Fidelis, XS Dualis, SP Dualis and SP Plus laser systems; no additional system upgrades or expensive consumables are required.

Lares Research, Fotona’s U.S. partners in laser dentistry recently joined with the Masters of Laser Dentistry and the Montana Center for Laser Dentistry. The partnership will offer an expanded training program exclusively for the Fotona Lares Powerlase® AT hard and soft tissue laser systems. Lares Research markets Fotona AT Fidelis® in the United States under the Fotona Lares Powerlase® AT brand name.

Aesthetic Lasers Inc., U.S. partner in Fotona's Aesthetics and Dermatology range, held a 2-day Advanced Users Conference in Boca Raton, FL, in mid-October. This Continuing Medical Education credited, workshop was primarily developed to enhance laser treatment knowledge, to help build the aesthetics practice and to provide an opportunity for Fotona owners to develop relationships within an extensive network of Fotona users.

The Laser and Health Academy has published a new paper on "Novel Fractional Treatments with VSP Erbium YAG Aesthetic Lasers".
